We were blessed with two Thanksgiving celebrations this year and we are very thankful for everyone who opened their homes to us. We love living in Colorado, but it's hard not to have any family living near us (we did talk with our family and got to Skype with my mom, Jay & Katie, Elizabeth & Michael--it was good to "see" them). On Thursday, we had dinner with Ana, George, Kira, and Ana's parents. It was nice to watch the kids play with each other and it was also good to spend some time with Ana, while we were down in the basement with the kids after dinner. It's something we don't get to do enough.
We enjoyed some downtime on Thanksgiving morning and throughout the weekend. It was good for all of us to have this time together. I've been working out with our Wii Fit too...but I have a long way to go, to get my little Wii person slimmer (and me too)! Ashley got to go to a princess birthday party on Saturday morning. We had a full day today, as we all went to church, to another birthday party (it was a free-play gymnastics party and the kids LOVED it...Ashley is really good & they're both fearless...we need to get them into a class...maybe in January), and then another Thanksgiving dinner. We got together with Doug & Peggy over at Virgil & Jan's home. It was wonderful to spend time with them. They're our family here in CO-- the closest thing the kids have to aunts and uncles out here and they're helping our kids get over their fear of dogs!
We thank God for the friends and family he has blessed us with and we hope to be a blessing to others.
